Corrigan Sports is excited to announce that we have a new registration platform.  New registrations as well as management of previous registrations will now take place on our new RunSignUp registration page.

For most of you, there will not be much of a difference.  You will go to one of our event website, click on the REGISTER button and sign up for the race as you normally do.   You may notice some changes in the layout, but in the end, you will sign up and pay for your race entry like always.

If you have previously registered and want to make an edit to your entry (upgrade, downgrade, defer, change your address, change your shirt size, etc.) You will need to CLAIM YOUR ENTRY before having access to make these edits.   (NOTE-  If you registered after Feb 15, 2018, you will already have access to your RACE MANAGEMENT settings and will be able to make these adjustments.)

The Run Sign Up platform does simplify some things for you in the future.  When you register next year or for other CSE events (or even others using RunSignUp) most of your contact information will be saved and pre-populate into the form, saving you from the key-strokes of re-entering this data again.

There are other benefits and conveniences that the RunSignUp platform provides for the registrants and for us as a race organizer.  You can look for additional features to be launched with the 2019 race openings.

Having trouble accessing your registration? Click HERE to claim your registration and account on RunSignUp. The easiest way to claim your account is to type in your email address and click “Claim. If there are any unclaimed accounts associated with that email address, you will receive the “Claim Instructions” email within a few minutes (the email will be sent to the email address on your registration). DOWNGRADE

If you cannot complete the distance you registered for but would still like to participate in the Delaware Running Festival, you may downgrade to a lesser distance. You will not be given a refund for the difference in entry fee. To do so please visit this link and click on TRANSFER EVENT in the white menu bar.

UPGRADE
If your training is going better than expected and you would like to run a longer distance than you originally registered for you may upgrade to a different race by paying the price difference. To do so please visit this link and click on TRANSFER EVENT in the white menu bar. Please note the 5K takes place Saturday night. The Half Marathon and Team Relay take place Sunday morning.

DEFERMENT

If you become injured and cannot participate in the Delaware Running Festival in 2018 you may defer your entry until 2019. There is a $25 processing fee to do so. ALL DEFERMENT REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITH PAYMENT 2 WEEKS before race day.

To take advantage of this offer please log into RunSignUp and Click Here to manage your registration. Click the DEFER REGISTRATION option in the menu and process your deferral payment. You will receive an email with a link to sign up for the 2019 race when registration reopens.

DOUBLETREE HOTEL DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON SET AS EXPO VENUE & OFFICIAL HOST HOTEL

We are excited to announce that the DoubleTree Hotel Downtown Wilmington will host the 2018 Delaware Marathon Running Festival’s new expo and serve as the event’s official hotel. Runners can pick-up their bibs, Under Armour race shirts and shop at vendor booths at the expo on Saturday, April 28th. Expo hours will be announced in the near future.

The DoubleTree is located within a 15-minute walk of the Start/Finish line at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park. Other nearby points of interest include the Brandywine Zoo and the Wilmington Amtrak station — all within one mile of the hotel. Street parking is free outside of the hotel during expo hours, while the city also offers an adjacent paid parking garage.

GET YOUR 2017 RACE PHOTOS BEFORE THEY ARE GONE FOREVER.

Backprint, the company that hosts your 2017 Delaware Marathon Running Festival photos for download and purchase is closing its doors.

If you are interested in downloading or purchasing photos from the 2017 event, please do so before Feb. 8, 2018.  After this date, you will have NO ACCESS to your race day photos.  This includes free downloads of your images as well as orders of prints and high resolution images.  All orders placed before this date will be processed and fulfilled by backprint.

We are excited to announce that in 2018, we will be hosting a more traditional “expo event” during packet pick-up of the 2018 Delaware Marathon Running Festival.  Gone are the days of sloshing through the mud and jumping from tent to tent at Tubman-Garrett Park to pick up your race materials.

Now, runners will be able to visit a single location to claim their race bib and race premium and also have a chance to visit some vendors who will offer their wares to help you prepare for or celebrate your race experience.

The exact location is yet to be determined but we are exploring several options to host the 2018 Delaware RunFest Health & Fitness Expo.  Stay tuned for more details.

Note:  We WILL NOT be offering the off-site pick up locations in 2018.  We will have a limited race morning packet pick-up.  You must pre-register HERE for the opportunity to pick up your packet on race morning.

In 2018, plan on spending some time going through our great expo. Local and nationally known vendors will be on-hand selling products, giving out goodies, and offering special services.  These are the sponsors who help make this weekend possible!  Also plan to stop by our Delaware Running Festival Merchandise booth featuring exclusive apparel and souvenirs. And, if you haven’t yet registered, you can do so at the expo!

Register online for the FREE Delaware Running Festival runner tracking services, beginning Tuesday, May 9. Use this helpful information to track your favorite runners, and to reunite with loved ones Family Reunion Zone. The message will provide the runner’s time, pace and expected finish time.
You will be able to receive tracking messages on your mobile phone via text messaging, have an email sent to your inbox, or have posts placed on your facebook or twitter accounts.
Alerts are triggered when each runner’s individual timing chip crosses a timing mat that is part of the runner tracking system. By tracking a runner, you will receive the following messages:

Full Marathon: 5 Mile, 13.1 Mile, 18 Mile, Finish
Half Marathon: 5 Mile, Finish
Relay: Finish
5K: Finish
